Growing up, Dr. Emily was surrounded by three veterinarians in her family so to her, her love for the veterinary field has been lifelong! She began her career journey as a kennel assistant, moving up to a veterinary assistant and finally a veterinary technician. In 2014, she began her education to become a veterinarian attending the University of Delaware where she eventually graduated earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences in 2018. Then, in 2019 she worked as a full-time veterinary technician to advance her skillset prior to attending Midwestern University in Phoenix, AZ. She earned her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 and moved to Castle Rock, CO, to start her career!
Like most in the veterinary field, she has always had a love for helping people and a passion for animals. Now, as a veterinarian, Dr. Emily feels she can exercise her passions by building relationships with clients, as well as, their most beloved family member(s), their pets. The amount of fulfillment she experiences from being the voice to the voiceless, she feels, is unmatched! As a pet parent herself, she understands how nerve-racking and scary it can be to bring a sick pet to a veterinary clinic. She wants only the absolute best care for her pets, so she approaches all of her patient care as if the pet is her own.
Dr. Emily’s goal for all patient care is to ensure every pet parent leaves the clinic confident they have started and/or maintained a collaborative and trusting relationship for their pet’s healthcare. That each client feels their voice was heard, their concerns/questions were addressed, were educated, involved, and most importantly, their pet is feeling their best or on their way to feeling their best!
When outside of the clinic, she enjoys attending concerts, going to the gym, exploring new places/restaurants, and hanging out with her dogs and friends. Her Colorado family is made up of a 15-year-old miniature dachshund, Daisy, and an 11-year-old miniature dachshund, Lillian!
